➡️The Illinois Department of Human Services’ Homeless Prevention Program provides rental/mortgage assistance, utility assistance, approved case management and approved supportive services directly related to the prevention of homelessness to eligible individuals and families who are in danger of eviction, foreclosure or homelessness or are currently homeless. ➡️The Illinois Welcoming Center COVID Housing and Utility Assistance program offers up to $5,000 or 3 months of rental, mortgage and utility assistance for unpaid bills due between March 1, 2020 and December 30, 202 to Illinois immigrants, refugees and Limited English Proficient individuals who have experienced a COVID-19 related financial hardship. ➡️The Help Illinois Families initiative administered by the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity utilizes LIHEAP and CSBG programs for eligible Illinoisans seeking emergency assistance to cover costs of utility bills, rent, temporary shelter, food and other household necessities.
